Question to all regarding Revit Content,

Content Creation, who creates your company content, is this done on a project by project basis, or do you have a process and set of guidelines for the creation of content centrally

Content Management, how do you manage your content, do you have a system in place to check if the content is fit for purpose, do you use any specific software for content management

Any thoughts on the subject would be gratefully received

Cheers

Chris

In my opinion, content creation has to be undertaken by the project team. A select few need to be sufficiently trained to create content for their individual project's use, in accordance with whatever standards the company wishes to enforce (we are crying out for a UK content creation standard)...

Then, in a larger organisation, I see another level of 'content managers' who can almost approve the content for wider use, and inclusion to the company's central library.

A bad bit of kit (over detailed/insufficient parameters/CAD linework) stays in its originating project. But I'd rather this, than have to wait for the guy in the corner who's job it is to make all the content, to make that wardrobe I requested 6 weeks ago.
