Dont now if anyone is familiar in dealing with survey pointclouds in Revit. I would be interested to know how they have dealt with the pointcloud to produce a Revit model. ie: Did you draw in revit with the imported pointcloud??

Currently i am producing a 2D drawing from the pointcloud in Autocad, then importing this to Revit. At this point i then trace over the 2D linework to produce a Revit model, as i have all the relevant height information to do this.

I am relitivley new user, and am not sure this is the most efficient way of doing this. I did find Revit was quite restrictive in dealing with pointclouds, as i currently use a far more flexible software called Pointools.

I think the potential issue i have is i deal with asbuilt surveys, so verticality and horizontal level are more often not quite plumb, and im not sure Revit can do this??

Any input would be very much appreciated.
